Slackware-LetterPrinting

Though Slackware does not feel as if its printing support is unified (Mandrake/Fedora), it does use CUPS printing very effectively. By default the CUPS, or Common Unix Printing System, daemon is enabled when using the standard Slackware installer. However, printing to a Windows network printer is a somewhat troublesome process, as some knowledge on Samba is needed before it can work right. My colleague and I tried to get network printing to work for hours with no avail. We followed a whole bunch of different Howto's and instructions, but there really was nobody who could figure out what's not working. I suggest that there should be an easy to use "print to Windows printer config tool" that does things for you without having to deal with the horrors of SMB.
