Scalable Processor ARChitecture (SPARC) is a very fast RISC-based chip designed by Sun Microsystems. Since 1984, Sun has offered many different workstations based on this chip design. There are both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

Some of the workstations include the following:

• 64 bit

    • Ultra 1
    • Ultra 5
    • Ultra 10

SPARC workstations normally run SunOS/Solaris but of course some Linux distributions have SPARC ports. A partial list includes:
