How do you sett up your PPP connection? I mean, for lots of EU countries there is a wizard that walks you through, but for the USA, there is none.

I would like to believe this is not some form of discrimination.

If you go to most ISPs websites, you'll find configuration info for setting up PPP for GNU/Linux. But that isn't really our purpose here. Our purpose is for you to try to figure it out and tell us what needs fixing to make it easier for you, if you don't mind being a guinea pig. However, having said that, Mandriva has a wizard that works for the US, by the way. You might try that. In the menu, choose Internet, then remote access, then KPPP, with KPPP Log viewer.
