Mandrake-Konqueror
From Grokdoc
The user was familiar with surfing the web using Internet Explorer. I brought up my KDE desktop and set him loose.
My Observations:
1. User found "Home" icon on desktop, double-clicked, which opened my local home directory in Konqueror.
2. User recognized address box, and entered URL: [www.boxinginsider.com]
3. Web page loaded.
4. First link user clicked did not work (javascript issue?--can't reproduce anymore)
5. Next link did work correctly. User read article using scroll bar and mouse wheel.
6. User exclaimed, "There's an up button?", but didn't click it. (I kept my mouth shut)
7. User typed in google URL and searched several times.
8. Received unencrypted data warning message box each time, but clicked OK without really reading or understanding it.
9. User commented, "It's just like using any other browser."
10. User minimized Konqueror and saw my wallpaper, a 3D rendering of the KDE logo. Commented: "This is neat."
Hope this is helpful.
